After seeing Mockingjay Part 1 this weekend, I am seeing all sorts of possibilities for upcoming trends. Like in the previous movies, Hunger Games and Catching Fire, the Hunger Games series manages to combine high end fashion and futuristic designs.
First, let’s take a look at Katniss. I love her Mockingjay suit and especially the black Mockingjay pin. I also loved the details of feathers on her shoulder armor = it’s such a sleek touch.

Let Effie inspire your daily wardrobe with her subtle outfit and accessories that pop. Whether you are just as bold as Effie or a little bit on the conservative side, any of these bold statement pieces can jazz up an outfit.

Other honorable mentions:
I loved the tailored structured look that Peeta wore in this movie. The little accents like the the pointy geometric collar piece really made the suit feel modern and futuristic in a subtle way.
Though the Peace Keepers were shown in Catching Fire, I guess I didn’t really notice much about the details of their armor until Mockingjay. Their armor is almost like a gross skeleton bug with the thin diagonal rivets. Like the rest of the theme of the movie, their uniforms are very sleek and subtle. I believe the back of the armor has something that looks like an extended spinal cord making it even more bug like.
