The British apparel brand has brainstormed a more interactive way to stand out to its consumers – Youtube.
By utilizing this popular video site, French Connections (also referred to as FCUK), has planted its name in a high traffic area. Each video is under a minute long and combines showcasing trendy garments with styling advice. At the end of each segment, viewers can interact with the video by choosing a specific garment to learn more about. After selecting a style, they are led to FCUK’s own website where they may purchase the product. This new method of shopping combines the activity of a television shopping network and the convenience of buying online. The coined term for this comparison is “youtique”.
