Artist Li Xiaofeng has recently got the attention he deserves. His work is unlike any others in both in the art and fashion industry. Li creates garments made from porcelain.
The process is a complex one. The first step, however, is simple. Li begins to sketch out an idea, just like any other designer would, then once he decides it is worthy of creating he creates a model out of wire. With many shards of porcelain before him, he arranges them by color in a pattern for the garment. To adhere the pieces together, his only option is welding.
Luckily, his hard work has paid off and designer brand, Lacoste, has brought their attention toward his talent. His line of china printed polos are expected to be released sometime this year.
