Normally, I try my very best to avoid mostly black outfits. Not because I don’t dig the whole Wednesday Adams vibe, just because I’m pretty particular about mixing different shades of black. But today, I made an exception.
I found this $3 dress from Gabes – the top is structured and knit and the skirt part is made from a really thin costumey leather material complete with a thin gold chain belt that is attached. Paired with leggings and a casual gray army jacket, this little black dress goes from a cheap night out on the town to a casual urban look.
One trend that I’ve seen introduced in the past year that isn’t going anywhere is the skater skirt. It’s pretty much just a short circle shirt, but the versatility of it through the seasons proves that it’s a great piece to wear alone or with layers. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more skater skirts in thicker fabrics too!
